The ACRIM II Sensor Module (cut away view)

This is the sensor module design for the ACRIM II instrument. The position of the primary and secondary cavities is similar to that in the ACRIM I sensor modules. The cone design has changed to include a tube to draw away the paint from the point of the cone at the time of cone fabrication. This modification is called the ACR Type V sensor. The conical sensor used in ACRIM I was designated the ACR Type IV sensor. The body of the module is made of aluminum.
